    Here’s the true story of the Park City Shoe Tree:

    A bunch of kids got mad at the local tree and threw their shoes at it in an attempt to kill it (apparently there were no stones available). The mayor sees the destruction the next day and, not wanting his beloved city to take a negative hit in the press for being weak on crime, pronounces it the latest work of art from fabulous Park City.
